Power Moves | British Vogue Publishing Director Retires, DSquared2 CEO Exits

This week, Stephen Quinn is set to retire as British Vogue publishing director, while Gianfranco Maccarrone leaves DSquared2 after 20 years.

Tiffany & Co. Names Roger Farah chairman Starting in October, two new leaders will arrive at the American fine jewellery company: chief executive Alessandro Bogliolo, announced in July, and chairman Roger Farah, the former co-chief executive officer of Tory Burchwho transitioned to an advisory role at that company in March. Michael J. Kowalski, Tiffany's interim chief executive and chairman since 2002, will relinquish his roles and remain as a director.

Stephen Quinn to retire from British Vogue Condé Nast has confirmed that Stephen Quinn, publishing director of British Vogue, will retire at the end of 2017, after 26 years in the role. Quinn joined Condé Nast in 1988 from Hearst to launch British GQ, and in 1992 oversaw his first issue of Vogue as publishing director, producing 312 issues in total. His successor is to be announced shortly.

DSquared2 chief executive exits DSquared2 founders Dean and Dan Caten have announced that Gianfranco Maccarrone has exited his role as the company's chief executive. In a statement, the brothers thanked Maccarrone for his dedication over the course of his 20-year tenure.

Vince names Patrik Ervell head of men's design Vince has announced the appointment of Patrik Ervell as vice-president of men's design, a newly created position that will put him in charge of men’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections. The designer has helmed his namesake label since 2005, and will relocate to Los Angeles to work in the label's studios. Ervell's first collection for the contemporary fashion brand will debut in January.

Richemont announces leadership changes Swiss luxury group Richemont has tapped Jean-Jacques van Oosten and Sophie Guieysse as chief technology officer and human resources director, respectively. Van Oosten was previously chief executive of Rewe Digital, while Guieysse joins from rival LVMH, where she served as director of human resources. The group has also added economist Jin Keyu to its board of directors, the company's first board member from China.

Estée Lauder appoints head of global retail development The US cosmetics group has expanded Olivier Bottrie's responsibilities to include leadership of retail stores globally as global president of travel retail and retail development. Previously in charge of the group's worldwide travel retail, Bouttrie will be responsible for the growth of Estée Lauder's freestanding store portfolio, effective October 1. Bouttrie has been with the company for over 20 years.

Condé Nast hires chief business officer of women's collection Allison Moore was appointed to oversee all revenue and brand development for the company's women's collection of brands, including Glamour, Allure and Brides, effective October 23. She previously held positions at SoundCloud, NBCUniversal, DailyCandy and HBO, and will report to Jim Norton, chief business officer at Condé Nast.

Tiffany & Co names Roger Farah as chairman Tiffany & Co. has appointed Roger Farah as chairman, effective October 2. He will succeed Michael Kowalski, who will stay on as director. Farah joins the luxury jeweller from Tory Burch, where he served as as co-chief executive; prior to that he was president and chief operating officer at Ralph Lauren.
