The ninth Sunglasses Workshop and seventh Sunglasses Awards will take place during the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes on October 3 2017, with record numbers of attendees anticipated.
Created as a sharing platform to drive growth for the whole sunglasses category in travel-retail, the Sunglasses Workshop is co-hosted by leading sunglasses suppliers De Rigo, Essilor, Kering Eyewear, Luxottica, Marchon, Marcolin and Maui Jim.
It will feature presentations on the latest category performance from Generation Research and fresh consumer insights from a bespoke category study commissioned by the sunglasses suppliers from research agency m1nd-set. There will also be presentations from leading airport operator London Heathrow airport and prominent Middle East retailer PAC SAL – Beirut Duty Free on their most recent activities for the sunglasses category and how they are approaching the challenge of growing the category in line with the Vision 2020 objective.
The workshop will be followed by the annual Sunglasses Awards to recognise and reward the best in the category. This year a record number of submissions have been received, with competition for the eight awards fiercer than ever.
