January this year, Ermenegildo Zegna presented its Fall Winter 2019 collection at the Milano Centrale railway station.
In its latest collection, Ermenengildo Zegna artistic director Alessandro Sartori explains that it aims for a “chic, less street” style which emphasizes easy, sporty attitude—and a younger guy in mind who wants to wear tailoring “in a different way from before.”

Sartori’s direction translated into a range of ultra comfortable: soft, light shapes some with down padding, offset with sharp detailed numbers that step on futuristic territory. With a color palette that consists of beluga black, khaki, blue, and gray, 33% of the collection—from natural to technical—was made from sustainable materials under the “Use the Existing” banner supported by the Zegna textile division.

Some key items from the collection were a drop-shoulder military blouson in crisp khaki gabardine with a tailored collar, a jodhpur-style pant with utilitarian pockets, hats molded from a single piece of felt by the recently acquired historic hatmaker Cappellificio Cervo, boots with double uppers, and new takes on the Cesare and Claudio handwoven leather sneakers.

Fast forward eight months later, the Italian menswear maverick announces that it has joined Indonesia’s leading luxury retail company Time International in a new franchise agreement, as part of a strategic move to expand its brand in Indonesia—which will also bring Zegna’s aforementioned collection to its boutiques.

“The strategic partnership that our company has finalized with Time International marks a very significant accomplishment for Zegna within the Indonesian market. Time International is a leader in luxury retail with a tangible and solid experience and an unparalleled position in the market,” said Ermenegildo Zegna, CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna Group.
Ermenegildo Zegna currently has three boutiques located in Indonesia most prominent malls, which are Pacific Place, Plaza Indonesia, and Plaza Senayan.
The Plaza Senayan store is the first Zegna boutique to take advantage from this new agreement. It is currently being redesigned and remodelled—and it sets to reopen in November. It will also bring a complete range of menswear collections, including the latest in Luxury Leisurewear, to exclusive services of Su Misura and Personalization for those who enjoy the privilege of choosing and creating his personal look.

Of the recent partnership, President and CEO of Time International Irwan Dany Mussry said “I am pleased to welcome Ermenegildo Zegna to the Time International family. The brand is a luxury symbol of successful gentlemen and has an immeasurably strong heritage built on the foundations of family. Zegna is a company admired around the world, and we will continue to support their global strategy.”
