Kris Van Assche Takes on Primary Hues for Debut Berluti Eyewear Offering

Reimagining classic silhouettes with Italian craft.

Crafted in partnership with LVMH‘s Thelios eyewear imprint, Kris Van Assche presents his debut Berluti eyewear offering. Informed by basic colors like red, yellow and blue, the glasses are a hybrid of contemporary luxury and timeless craftsmanship.

First seen on the Fall/Winter 2019 runway, the glasses encompasses six distinctive styles. The aviator-indebted Sparkle and Shine accompany the flight-ready Bright, which boasts oversized Berluti branding across its treated mirror lenses. Elsewhere, the weighty Halo and Neon styles boast thick circular and rectangular stained acetate frames, respectively, drawing inspiration from the marble tables that Berluti’s footwear artisans work atop. Rounding out the offering is the round Spectre, which matches the other glasses in sporting “1895” on the left lense and Berluti branding on the metal hinges.

Expect the premium frames to hit Berluti’s website and stores in the coming months.

Elsewhere, a Berluti-designed Triumph motorcycle recently went up for auction.
