For summer 2020 Loewe presents the second drop of Paula's Ibiza, a colorful collection inspired by the Balearic island
Yellow smiley faces and fluorescent colors are the common thread of the Loewe Paula's Ibiza capsule collection . A collection that wants to express a renewed sense of freedom, a great energy and, above all, a positive outlook towards the future . It is the clothes and accessories that, thus, make themselves the spokesperson for an important message, which - at this very delicate moment - Loewe's creative director, Jonathan Anderson , has chosen to share with the whole world: “ This cheerful capsule is all focused on optimism, raised to the nth degree and incorporated into concrete objects. It is above all an invitation to share values also as a community: an encouragement to look towards the future together ".
The Paula's Ibiza collection boasts garments for men and women such as T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, shirts and dresses as well as a selection of accessories such as sunglasses, jewelry and bags. The color palette, of course, ranges between fluorescent shades such as yellow, green and orange, without forgetting the most important pattern, the Smiley , which according to Anderson is “ a perfect antidote to bad news, has always been synonymous with creative subversion ". There are also bags, where the colors become even more vivid: from the Basket bag in woven palm leaves to the Slit , with oversized patch pocket, up to the Loewe icon models: Mosaic, Balloon, Gate Pocket and Heel Pouch.
The Paula's Ibiza collection also has a beneficial implication. Thanks to the new collaboration between Loewe and Plataforma de Infancia , in fact, the Spanish brand has donated € 40 for each product sold, for a total of € 500,000, with the aim of supporting children and adolescents at risk or in situations of exclusion social because of the pandemic . The associations that will benefit from this first donation are YMCA España, Coordinadora Estatal de Plataformas Sociales Salesianas, Aldeas Infantiles SOS España, Save The Children, Fundación Esplai. Ciudadania Comprometida, Fundación Diagrama Intervención Psicosocial, Fundación Márgenes y Vínculos and Fundación ALDABA.
