The 5,500-square-foot flagship comes amid “strong traction” in the U.S. market for the French house.

Building on its “strong traction in the U.S. market,” Celine has opened a new flagship at 309 Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
The 5,500-square-foot, two-level unit bears the imprint of its new artistic director, Michael Rider, including as a store prop an imposing wood-and-steel speaker by Matéo Garcia Audio, which featured at his fall 2026 show for Celine, and area rugs underpinning seating areas.
The American-born designer has also let loose with creative visual merchandising, featuring some handbags displayed in a jumble, while wooden wall pegs dangle silk scarves, which he’s leaned into as a key accessory and symbol of the house.
Previously creative director at Polo Ralph Lauren, Rider took the creative helm of Celine in early 2025, marking a return engagement: He had logged a decade as Celine’s design director of ready-to-wear from 2008 to 2018, working under its then-creative director Phoebe Philo.

“Michael brings his singular creativity and exceptionally precise instinct to a house he knows intimately and whose codes he understands deeply,” Séverine Merle, Celine’s chief executive officer, told WWD. “The Parisian woman he portrays has style, allure and a distinctly contemporary feeling of ease. She is free, effortlessly sophisticated, with that unique blend of strength and nonchalance that is quintessentially Celine.”
Open since mid-August, the new Rodeo Drive address is a relocation and reflects Celine’s confidence in the market, characterizing it as a key milestone in its growth strategy for America.
According to the French fashion house, controlled by luxury giant LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the U.S. market has responded “particularly well” to Celine’s new chapter under Rider, who knows it very well.
“He balances the effortlessness and ‘Parisian-ness’ of the brand while bringing optimism and authenticity,” Celine said, mentioning the Soft Triomphe bag line among Rider innovations that are resonating.

In California, Celine operates stand-alone stores in South Coast Plaza, Fashion Valley in San Diego, Valley Fair San Jose and Westfield in Topanga. The brand is also present in Honolulu Ala Moana.
Over the summer, Celine opened a boutique in Scottsdale, and among openings expected in the second half is a boutique in Bal Harbour in Miami Beach and another in Aventura, Fla.
The brand plans to reach a total of 36 stores in the United States by the end of 2026.
The new Rodeo Drive location carries men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, along with perfumes, beauty products and select home items.
From the Rodeo Drive entrance, the store opens into a bright accessories area where handbags are spaced along illuminated stone shelves and glass-and-metal vitrines. Pale stone, dramatically veined marble, warm wood and expanses of mirror are found throughout the flagship, with linear lighting integrated into ceilings and fixtures.
The assortment unfolds through interconnected zones. Ready-to-wear hangs from streamlined black rails set against stone, wood and mirrored panels, while footwear lines long, lighted shelves.
Sunglasses are arranged in stacked light-box displays and belts are shown alongside an assortment of Triomphe buckles.
Smaller accessories get an equally considered presentation. Glass display cases hold silk scarves and small leather goods, as well as a playful assortment of charms. A separate jewelry area has a darker tone, with necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings displayed against black panels.
The eclectic decor incorporates vintage wooden furniture, antique bronze shelving, mirrored panels and chevron hardwood flooring, reminiscent of a Paris apartment.
Elsewhere, the residential feeling comes through in cream sofas, a pink upholstered armchair with a dark wood frame, and low coffee table, all set on off-white rugs.
Scattered throughout are artworks by Jean Fautrier, Andy Warhol, David Armstrong and Kai Nielsen.
Upstairs, a separate VIP floor offers greater privacy for top clients and private appointments, removed from the activity of the main floor.
