Christian Louboutin collaborates with Marcolin for eyewear debut

Through the partnership, Christian Louboutin aims to release collections that fall within eyewear’s aspirational segment

Italian eyewear group Marcolin and Christian Louboutin have signed an exclusive global licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing and distribution of the French luxury brand’s sunglasses and optical frames.

Christian Louboutin is making its debut in eyewear with Marcolin as its exclusive partner. The contract is valid until 2029 and the brand’s first optical collection will be distributed worldwide at selected stores starting spring/summer 2025.

Marcolin CEO & General Manager Fabrizio Curci said: “Today we are announcing a memorable partnership – we are extremely proud that such a prestigious and globally appreciated brand such as Christian Louboutin has chosen us to make its debut in the eyewear industry.

“This proves once again that the market recognises Marcolin’s distinctive know-how in the design and manufacturing of luxury products of the highest quality.”

The optical pieces will be characterised by elements that pay homage to the Maison’s heritage

Christian Louboutin CEO Alexis Mourot commented: “Christian Louboutin is progressively rolling out a strategy to become a complete lifestyle luxury accessories player. The eyewear and sunglasses categories are a natural extension for us.

“Marcolin is the ideal partner for this strategic partnership as they share the same vision for creating objects of desires of an outstanding quality and instantly recognisable creativity.”
