Converse and KENZO combine design forces to bring a three show collection doused in nostalgia and springtime youth.

Mark your calendars – on April 17, 2025, Converse and KENZO are set to drop their first official collaboration, adorned with playful motifs and nostalgia. Designed under the creative direction of KENZO’s Nigo, the limited-edition footwear acts like a time capsule, integrating the classic Chuck 70 silhouette we know and love with 1980s energy, fearless prints, and a nod to collegiate Americana.

The most prized possession within this metaphorical time capsule is the “Hana Leopard” motif – an all-over print that’s signature KENZO through and through. The lineup of shoes features one Chuck 70 Hi in a buttery “Sweet Corn” yellow and two Chuck 70 Lows in saturated “Pink Cosmos” and deep “Cypress.” The result turns out as a playful blend of a vintage athletic style intermeshed with the vibrations of street style and high fashion.

The shoes, however, don’t only embody impressive design choices, there’s much more to them. The collaboration is grounded in a shared history that marries together seamlessly. Converse’s iconic streetwear roots meet KENZO’s globe-trotting, cross-culture design ethos. Campaign imagery leans into nostalgia, channeling campus life and the thrill of self-discovery. Picture late ‘80s letterman jackets, Ivy League sidewalks, and the kind of mental and bodily sensations you’d find in the springtime during your youth.

Every detail has been reworked with intention. Expect a geometric winged stitch along the upper, a vintage-style screen-printed Chuck patch (with perfectly imperfect lines), and a high-top collar that’s been “pinched” for visual depth. An outsole inlay of KENZO’s boke flower and a detachable charm featuring the new KENZO pop graphic can also be expected.

It goes without saying that whether you’re a die-hard Chuck lover or a KENZO devotee, this collaboration is designed for those who use style to show their most colorful attributes. Available globally on April 17 via Kenzo.com, Converse.com, KENZO boutiques, and select retailers, it’s a limited drop you won’t want to miss.
