Dior and Technogym collaborate on a range of elegant new sports equipment for working out in style
Dior and Technogym have partnered on a new line of workout equipment that is as easy on your eyes as it is tough on your muscles. The limited edition collection includes a treadmill, a workout bench, and an exercise ball enlivened by a distinctly Dior aesthetic, with each of the pieces featuring a polished white base decorated with the Dior star, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s lucky symbol, and the Christian Dior logo bordered by the house’s signature strips.
Produced in Italy at the Technogym Village, the collection features the ingenious technology and compact design (see our article on the company’s Personal Line) that has made the brand one of the most respected names in sports equipment. The compact treadmill, for instance, features a MyRun console, on top of which users place their tablet to activate a whole range of on-demand running and walking workouts.
The bench is ideal for doing a variety of exercises within a small space, with dumbbells, elastics and knuckles that can be used to perform over 200 different exercises, demonstrated in the brand’s extensive library of on-demand workouts.
The final item in the collection, the ball, is a much more straightforward, but no less effective, piece of equipment that can be used for flexibility, toning and balance.
The collection, both utilitarian and aesthetically appealing, is sure to spur users on to exercise. As Technogym founder Nerio Alessandri says: ‘This shared goal of excellence gives life to a limited series of innovative Technogym products interpreted with Dior’s unique allure. Created to inspire the concept of wellness with new generations, it also offers people the opportunity to live a unique and irresistible experience.’
The Dior and Technogym line will be revealed in a series of pop-up stores for the new Dior Vibe collection, which launched at the Dior cruise 2022 show as a stylistic hybrid between ready-to-wear and streetwear. The line includes sportswear such as leggings and shorts decorated in the maison’s iconic patterns; ‘Dior Tribales’ earbud earrings; and ‘Dior Vibe’ bags that borrow stylistic elements from sneakers.
The Dior Vibe pop-up is already open at Harrods in London and will open in Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, Beverly Hills,Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, New York and more throughout the next few weeks.
