Dior Men Will Present Fall/Winter 2022 Show in Kim Jones' Hometown of London

For the first time in 74 years, the Dior Men's show, which traditionally takes place in Paris, will be held in London.

Although Dior has not yet confirmed the exact location of the show, it's official: the Men's Fall/Winter 2022 show will take place in London on December 9. The "new" city marks the return of artistic director Kim Jones to his hometown, which he left to climb the fashion ladder in 2002. Dior presented its first collection in the UK in 1947, in the presence of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. Since then, the house has traditionally organized its fashion shows in Paris, the city of origin for the Maison.

"We are delighted to present our fall men's collection once again abroad and to return to the 'physical' fashion show, an experience that is more important than ever," said Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture. "We are proud and delighted to be able to bring this unique event to life in London, a particularly symbolic destination that has been close to the heart of Monsieur Dior and the House since 1947. London is of course also the city closest to the heart of Kim Jones, the one where he was born and where he lives, which inspires him with his inexhaustible creativity and which he loves dearly."

Jones opened up about returning to his hometown, saying, “I can't wait to do a show in my hometown." The designer became Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton Men's in 2011 before starting his tenure as the head of Dior Men in 2018.
