Halle Berry made an appearance as Jenna Bush Hager’s “Today” cohost at NBC Studios on Wednesday, and stepped out in New York City after her temporary news gig wearing a business casual ensemble grounded by a pair of summery Loewe flats.

Berry was wearing a beige pair of Loewe’s Petal Anagram slides, which are crafted from calfskin and showcase a cutout upper displaying the brand’s looping Anagram logo — a design of four script L’s reflecting one another. The craftsmanship of the shoe also includes hand-painted edges and hand-stitched seams.

Berry represented the Spanish luxury brand not long after it underwent major changes with Proenza Schouler founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez taking over creative direction, a responsibility formerly held by Jonathan Anderson, who is now at Dior.
It’s not just Loewe that’s making a case for flat shoes. Flats are experiencing a resurgence as we head into summer — from Miley Cyrus wearing the beloved Maison Margiela Tabi flats to Saoirse Ronan wearing Louis Vuitton T-strap flat sandals to the brand’s cruise 2026 show. Not to mention, low-profile sneakers are all the rage at the moment, though they may not be the best for the health of your feet.
Berry not only embraced the flat sandal trend but also the white-hot summer trend with a simple T-shirt underneath a blazer featuring peak lapels. Matching the casual energy of her T-shirt, she also modeled a pair of blue jeans with distressed rips down each leg. She accessorized with a pair of amber-tinted black sunglasses and a bamboo-handle Gucci purse featuring a purple and yellow strap, which added a Los Angeles pop of color to her ensemble. Her wavy ombre bob, meanwhile, flounced at chin length.
Berry is fresh off serving on the 2025 Cannes Film Festival jury, with the festival wrapping up on May 24. She showcased a number of designer ensembles throughout the run from names like Celia Kritharioti, Chanel and Gucci, among others.
