Nominated for a Best Original Song award, Cyrus stepped out on the red carpet in a crystal-encrusted slip dress while donning an über-cool pair of shades for the paparazzi. Shop them here.

The 2025 Golden Globes red carpet had no shortage of standout looks, with lots of shimmers (we see you, Mikey Madison!), structural moments (read: Cynthia Erivo’s Louis Vuitton peplum gown), and classy glove pairings. There was a particular cool girl on the scene, though, made all the more cooler vis-à-vis the sunglasses she decided to don as paparazzi cameras flashed. It was no other than Miley Cyrus, wearing shades by Celine, which went hand in hand with her crystal-trimmed little black dress from the brand.

Though Cyrus’s public appearances — red carpets included — have become more tame over the years, she’s still quite experimentative when it comes to outfit and accessory choices. Her custom-made Maison Margiela dress, out of safety pins and antique beads, at the 2024 Grammy Awards is proof of concept, and so is the Gucci Balenciaga Hacker Project suit she wore — in all of its linebacker shoulders glory — to the 10th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala in November 2021.
Sporting shades at awards ceremonies is not a common move. It used to be so in the ’90s, though, before celebrity stylists, makeup artists, and A-listers themselves started to approach red carpet appearances like an Olympic sport worthy of careful curation. All this is to say: The 82nd Golden Globes mark yet another occasion in which Cyrus gave convention a cold shoulder, alongside Jeremy Strong and his oversized tinted sunnies (plus mint green bucket hat). Her Celine dress, however, stayed true to a kind of glam, Parisian-chic sensibility: what with its low-cut open back, plunging neckline, and figure-accentuating cutouts. The luxe item was spared from simplicity thanks to its encrusted crystals — a touch of bedazzlement of which Cyrus didn’t have a lot, save for her dangling earrings.

Though that gown is, sadly, not available to shop online, we have good news for those who want to embody Cyrus’s edginess: The exact shades she wore are, indeed, sold online. They’re Celine’s Triomphe Square Sunglasses, made in Italy out of acetate and featuring the fashion house’s Triomphe logo, out of metal, on both temples. Their square frame can work just as well with fancier ensembles as it can with model-off-duty outfits in any season, thereby offering classic versatility.
Though Cyrus opted for the Shiny Black Smoke color to match her black attire of the evening, you can go with the ivory-hued Bone Smoke, the Dusty Brown Rose, the Transparent Teal Grey, or the tortoise shell–like Dark Havana Smoke. These sunnies not only offer an instant, all-occasions style upgrade but also 100-percent UV protection, so you can rest assured they’ll function as more than just eye candy in your life.
Cyrus might’ve wowed onlookers at the Golden Globes red carpet this year by masking her face, à la Jessica Chastain at the 2023 Met Gala, but she also clearly wowed the award show’s voting body: scoring a nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture, which she shares with Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Zachrisson for the song “Beautiful That Way” in the film “The Last Showgirl.” She holds two Golden Globes nominations in total, with her previous one being in 2009, for the song “I Lost You” in the animated children’s movie “Bolt.”
