Inside Dior’s Private Screening of Ron Howard’s “Avedon”

On Monday, Dior and Derek Blasberg hosted an intimate screening of “Avedon,” the new documentary from Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard and Imagine Documentaries, at the William Morris Endeavor screening room in Beverly Hills, followed by a cocktail reception at the House of Dior Beverly Hills.
The evening brought together a mix of figures from fashion, art, film and culture, including Emma Watson, Lauren Hutton, Gia Coppola, Caroline and Michael Avedon, Cleo Wade, Michael Chow, Peter Dundas, Doug Aitken, Alex Israel, Devon Lee Carlson, Simon Kinberg and Jason Bolden, among others.
As previously reported by WWD, the documentary explores the life and legacy of photographer Richard Avedon, whose work helped redefine fashion photography and extended into portraiture, politics and cultural commentary. Avedon’s history with Dior dates back to 1947, when he photographed the house’s early postwar collections in Paris.
The film premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, and arrives on Netflix on Nov. 11.
