Kate Hudson married structure and minimalism with her white Stella McCartney jumpsuit for her appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” in New York City on Wednesday night as part of her “Song Sung Blue” promotional tour.
The Oscar-nominated actress wore the crêpe jersey jumpsuit by the British designer, featuring such standout details as a plunging neckline, padded shoulders and a self-tie waistline. The padded shoulders of the look evoked ’80s style sensibilities, while the plunging neckline added a touch of sensuality.

Crafted in a crisp white tone, the jumpsuit’s loose fit was defined by the self-tie waist, creating silhouette definition on the actress. To offset the jumpsuit, Hudson opted for a pair of black, pointed-toe pumps with a jewel-encrusted embellishment.
For glam, Hudson turned the talents of hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg and makeup artist Quinn Murphy for her Lauren Bacall-inspired look. The actress’ blond hair was styled with a side part and worn straight and down, with makeup highlights including bold brows, lightly lined eyes and a soft pink lip. Hudson’s entire ensemble was curated by stylist Sophie Lopez.

The actress’ latest talk show appearance coincides with her ongoing “Song Sung Blue” promotional tour. Over the course of the last several weeks, Hudson attended international and domestic premieres and made appearances on other late night staples like “The Tonight Show.”
Throughout the promo tour, Lopez has styled Hudson in designer pieces such as an electric blue Vera Wang gown at the Berlin premiere of the film and a Valentino dress at the New York City screening.

“Song Sung Blue” follows Mike and Claire, played by Hugh Jackman and Hudson, a Milwaukee couple who form a Neil Diamond tribute band and experience immense success and tragic lows in equal measure. The film hits theaters Dec. 25.
