ZEN PALACE: If rare and privileged experiences are the new luxury, then Kenzo has a doozy lined up for its fall 2026 presentation during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

The fashion house will commandeer founder Kenzo Takada’s former Paris home, a transporting, Zen-inspired oasis tucked behind a traditional 18th-century apartment building.

Built by Kenzo in 1993 and redesigned in 2018 by architect Kengo Kuma & Associates, it has long been reputed as one of the French capital’s most stylish and surprising abodes.

Kenzo and its creative director Nigo plan to unveil the fall 2026 men’s and women’s collections to press on Jan. 21, while the house will remain open throughout Paris Fashion Week for various invitation-only animations.

According to Kenzo, the house will be transformed “into a multifaceted creative environment, blending fashion, design, architecture, food, and music into an immersive experience curated by Nigo.”

“With its Japanese architecture and its quiet world of wood, light and water, the place creates an unexpected sense of calm in the middle of Paris…. allowing guests to connect with the maison’s roots,” it added.

Nigo has mostly favored coed shows during the men’s calendar in Paris since 2022, but had recently uncoupled them to give womenswear a bigger spotlight.

Perhaps best known as the founder of A Bathing Ape and a streetwear pioneer in Japan, Nigo assumed the creative helm of Kenzo in September 2021.

At the time of his appointment, he lauded how house founder Kenzo Takada’s “approach to creating originality was through his understanding of many cultures. It is also the essence of my own philosophy of creativity.”
