Naomi Watts took quiet luxury style and gave the trend a touch of alternative edge in nearly head-to-toe Celine for the Zurich Film Festival on Sunday in Switzerland.

The Oscar-nominated actress turned to the French luxury fashion label for her attire at a Q&A, wearing coordinated pieces with complementary sensibility and a luxe, leather addition that took the overall look to the next level.
To begin her look, Watts wore Celine’s lavalliere white blouse crafted in silk twill. The piece featured triomphe embroidery at the cuff with a classic fit, pleated back and rounded hem. The actress coordinated the blouse with a pair of cropped trousers in a shade of dark sand.

Pulling the blouse and trousers together was the Celine triomphe belt with a gold buckle, adding a warm tone to the muted look. As for shoes, the “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” actress opted to forgo further Celine styles for a set of kiss pumps courtesy of the brand Jude.
The finishing touch to Watts’ look, which arguably elevated her attire from simple quiet luxury styling to a contemporary alt vibe, was Celine’s lambskin leather jacket. Crafted with a classic fit, the leather jacket added unexpected tensions to Watts’s Q&A attire, a contrasting piece that incorporated a rebellious and youthful energy.

While leather jackets have a deep history and utilitarian roots, the piece has become a signifying element of alternative style and edgy, punk sensibility. To pair the piece with Celine’s more tailored pieces like the trousers and blouse added a tonal contrast that still executed on its luxury aesthetic, though with a touch of rebellion.
Watts regularly collaborates with stylist Jeanann Williams, who’s also worked with the likes of Meg Ryan, Leslie Mann and Abigail Spencer, among others.

The 22nd annual Zurich Film Festival kicked off on Thursday and concludes on Oct. 4. The festival will include screenings of such films as “Club Kid,” “Ink” and “Possible Love,” among others. Julianne Moore will be honored with the Golden Icon Award.
