OF COURSE MONCLER'S SWIMWEAR LINE INCLUDES A PUFFER
Best known for its inimitable puffer jackets, Moncler has no qualms about diving into summer style. The Italian luxury label's new Spring/Summer 2021 lineup is better for the beach than the mountains, in fact, drawing from Indonesian fire surfing culture to create a capsule of stylish menswear items ideal for summer. Okay, there are still a few jackets in the mix, but this is a hot weather drop through and through.
"Exploring Coastlines," as the new release is called, comprises a concise selection of tees, polos, shorts, and, yes, outerwear, ready for those long-awaited seasonal getaways. A jacket, short-sleeved shirt, ripstop trousers, shorts, and cap all boast the thematic ocean-inspired pattern — offered in light and dark flavors — at the core of the assortment, intercutting white and blue waves with fiery stabs of red.
Some toned-down styles are also available in case the all-over pattern is a touch too bold, but either way, Moncler has kept the silhouettes tailored and trim, keeping in line with the sleek European silhouettes that inform much of its ready-to-wear. There's still room for a playful graphic T-shirt, though, replete with "LOVE SUMMER" verbiage executed in a cheeky '70s typeface.
Oh, and the jackets? Moncler is issuing a few packable numbers, with and without that unmistakable incandescent pattern. There's even a trim puffer on hand, juuuuust in case the seaside breezes kick up at night.
The SS21 "Exploring Coastlines" collection is available on Moncler's website and shortly at stockists like Highsnobiety Shop.
