OMEGA Crafts Two Special Edition Tresor Timepieces In Support of Orbis

Building on their partnership since 2011, OMEGA has created two new special edition De Ville Tresor timepieces in support of Orbis International, the non-profit organization dedicated to preventing blindness and saving sight.

Both models take on the sleek, dressy 40mm silhouette of the De Ville Tresor, with stainless steel cases carrying either a plain bezel or a diamond-set variant surrounding a domed gradient blue dial as a nod to Orbis’ color of choice. Both the polished hands and applied indices come in 18K white gold, while the in-house Calibre 8511 itself features an 18K red gold balance bridge.

As a special tribute to the non-profit organization, the number 8 on the date wheel at 6 o’clock has been replaced with an emblem of the Orbis Teddy Bear given to children undergoing eye surgery as a pillar of comfort. Part of the purchase price for every piece sold will also contribute towards a Flying Eye Hospital, raising funds for Orbis and its team of medical professionals.

For those interested, stay tuned to OMEGA’s website, where the Orbis special edition Tresor watches will soon be available.
