Willy Chavarria Gives the Adidas Superstar’s Signature Shell Toe Its Flowers With New Rose Detail

Adidas Originals and Willy Chavarria are back with another collaboration this month.
Dubbed “Love Prevails,” the collection centers around two colorways of the Chavarria Superstar sneaker. For this capsule, the designer updated the Superstar’s signature shell toe with a molded rose motif – a staple of Chavarria’s designs in what he calls a “love letter to a shoe that has long belonged to the streets.”
The Chavarria Superstar will be available in a black colorway with white stripes and red accents as well as a black colorway with white toe cap and white stripes. The sneakers will retail for $160.
The apparel collection features co-branded items including bombers, crewnecks, cargo jackets, pinstripe tracksuits, and more – each finished with Chavarria’s signature embroidery and artwork.
To highlight the collection, Chavarria and Adidas Originals created a campaign that “takes its name and spirit from a simple, defiant truth: that love is strongest when everything is against it,” the athletic company said.

“Chavarria’s ‘Love Prevails’ speaks to communities holding each other together in the face of fear, uncertainty, and the forces that try to separate us,” Adidas stated. “It is a statement of resistance – not through anger, but through empathy, dignity, and an unshakable faith in one another. The campaign’s visuals embody harmony to fight against harshness, in freedom to overcome fear, in life to defeat death. In times of darkness, brightness emerges in all its splendor.”
The Adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria “Love Prevails” collection will be available April 18 on the Confirmed App, Adidas.com and at select retailers.

This new release follows a similar update to the Adidas Superstar that Chavarria did for NBA All-Star Weekend. In February, the duo released two shoes in the collection: a Superstar and Harden Vol. 10, both carrying unique floral patterns and metal details.
It followed the January release of the new Chavarria Megaride AG in two colorways, which first appeared on the designer’s spring/summer 2026 runway show in Paris. Earlier in January, Chavarria also revealed his first in-house shoe collection along with his newest offering with Adidas for fall/winter 2026. His upcoming fall collection is heavily influenced by soccer. Forthcoming styles that will drop later this year include the Willy Chavarria Megaride Copa sneaker and the Willy Chavarria Predator cleat.
