With Parisian Flair, Givenchy Hosted a Party for All the Cool Kids During NYFW

JACKIE LEE

Givenchy is leaving its mark on New York City, literally and figuratively. Over the weekend, the brand lit up the terrace of Nine Orchard with a colossal light structure sculpted into the shape of the fashion house’s quadruple ‘G’ logo. With New York Fashion Week in full swing and the recent opening of the label’s very first Soho store, there was so much for Givenchy to celebrate.

At the bar, guests were treated to classic negronis and melon margaritas, which were chilled with Givenchy branded ice cubes. Even the windows and napkins were stamped with the Parisian fashion house’s emblem.

The soirée brought out the coolest crowd, from Amber Valetta to Eve Jobs to Bloody Osiris, who reveled in the evening by treating the attendees to a Champagne shower. Throughout the evening, the maison’s creative director Matthew Williams mingled with guests and even danced the night away to tunes played by Paul Sevigny and VenusX, who joyously reminded the fashion crowd, “We are back outside!”
